MEDITATION IN MOVEMENT
One of the most therapeutic and beautiful aspects of Astanga yoga is the way in which it can become a moving form of meditation.The concept of meditation in movement is common in spiritual traditions, for example walking meditation or t’ai chi. Once you have learned the postures of the Pnmary Series you can repeat them without “thinking” and this has a deeply soothing effect on your mind. It enables you to focus inward and draw your attention to the steady rhythmic sound of your breathing.
